It is with deep heartbreak that we remember Lisseth Valdes, a 15-year-old whose life was tragically cut short in a devastating car accident in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on May 2, 2026.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Lisseth was traveling with her family northbound on Highway 177 when another driver failed to stop at the intersection of 104th Street, causing a violent collision that led their vehicle to roll. The impact of the crash was catastrophic, claiming her life at the scene. Authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this time.
Lisseth was a student at Stillwater High School, remembered by those who knew her as kind, intelligent, and full of promise. She had aspirations of becoming an attorney, driven by a desire to help others and make a meaningful difference in the world. Her dreams, along with a bright future, were taken far too soon.
The tragedy has also left her family facing both physical and emotional pain. Her father sustained multiple injuries, including broken ribs and trauma to his back and shoulder, while her mother and brother were also hospitalized and are expected to recover.
