Dr. William Duane Shidal, Jr., MD passed away on April 29, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by professionalism, compassion, and dedication to patient care. A respected radiologist, he served his patients and colleagues with quiet strength and unwavering commitment throughout his medical career.
Dr. Shidal was known for his precision and careful attention to detail, recognizing that every scan he reviewed represented a real person relying on his expertise. Dr. Shidal is survived by his brothers, Randy (Virginia) Shidal and Steve (Suzanne) Shidal of Paducah, Kentucky; and his sister, Denise (Hal) Gilbert of Paducah, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Duane Shidal Sr. and Ethel Henrietta Conway Shidal, as well as his niece, Jacquelyn N. Shidal.
