Ashley Calder Missing in Romford; Police Appeal for Public Assistance
Authorities are appealing for public assistance in locating 18-year-old Ashley Calder, who was reported missing in Romford during the early hours of Saturday, May 2. Police and family members say her disappearance is out of character, and concern for her welfare is increasing.
According to Essex Police, Ashley was last seen at approximately 3:30 a.m. while out with friends in the Romford area. Reports indicate she had been at a nightclub identified by family as Dukebox before she was last seen. Since that time, there has been no confirmed contact, and her phone has since been switched off.
Ashley is described as wearing grey jeans, a white vest-style top, and beige trainers at the time of her disappearance. She is also noted to have a distinctive flower tattoo on her right wrist. Her hair was reportedly worn down, and she was carrying a black handbag.
Family members say Ashley had planned to return to her sister’s home but never arrived, which has heightened concern. They have described her disappearance as highly unusual and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Police are requesting that members of the public who were in or around Romford during the early hours review any CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage that may help trace her movements.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Essex Police on 101, or 999 in an emergency, quoting incident number 273 of May 2.
