Evan Harmon is remembered for exemplifying excellence within the health information management (HIM) profession. He served in leadership roles within professional organizations such as KHIMA and BGHIMSS, where he was respected for his forward-thinking approach and dedication to collaboration. His efforts reflected not only his expertise but also his passion for strengthening the professional community around him.
Perhaps one of his most lasting impacts was his commitment to mentorship and education. Evan devoted time to guiding students in the Health Services Administration and Healthcare Administration programs, often serving as a site supervisor and helping bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world experience. His influence continues through the many individuals he mentored and inspired.
